Ceramic coatings

We have been working with our Scottish PR agency partners The Inside Line to bring an new type of ceramic exhaust coating to market.

Black Performance are developing a new ceramic heat dissipation coating for use in the automotive industry, and it's an extremely exciting product. The ceramic coating actively wicks heat away from surfaces it is applied to, provided there is airflow passing over the object. This means Black Performance are able to actively cool hot components such as brake discs and pads, radiators, oil coolers and intercoolers. As well as improving performance, the ceramic coatings increase reliability and reduce the need for servicing.

In addition to the ceramic heat dissipation coating, Black Performance offer a ceramic exhaust coating that offers high temperature protection for motorbike exhaust systems and the like, and the ceramic coating can withstand temperatures of over 1200 degrees C. This replaces traditional heat wrap, and offers better looks, higher performance and lighter weight.

The ability to cool components cheaply has many motorsport and industrial applications, and we know that such an innovative product will be a great success.
